Terms of Use

The short version
- Sending the form is a request. You have a ride when we write back and say so — not before.
- The price is agreed in writing before you travel. No meter, no summer surcharge, no surprise at the door.
- Nothing is charged on this website. You pay the driver.
Who we are
This site belongs to Prijevoz Stončić (“Taxi Stončić”), a family taxi and private-transfer business at Sansovića dvor 2, 21460 Stari Grad, on the island of Hvar, Croatia. Phone and WhatsApp: +385 98 744 700. Email: jurica.stancic1964@gmail.com. Using this site means these terms apply; the version published here when you book is the one that counts.
A booking request is not yet a booking
This matters more than anything else on this page, so we'll be blunt about it. When you submit the form, it lands in our inbox as a request. We then check the route against the day we already have — the ferries we're meeting, the drivers we have out — and reply with the driver, the meeting point and a fixed price. Only that reply makes it a booking. If you haven't heard from us and your ferry is close, call. Don't assume.
How the price works
We quote one fixed fare for the whole trip and confirm it in writing before you travel. It's based on what you told us, so the things that can change it are the things that change the trip: a different route, a lot more luggage than expected, extra passengers we haven't got seats for, an extra stop, or a pick-up time that moves into the middle of the night. If any of those come up we'll tell you the new price before we drive, not after.
If your ferry is late
It will be, sooner or later. We track the crossing you gave us and plan around the real arrival, not the printed one, and we don't charge you for waiting on the dock because Jadrolinija had a rough afternoon. What we ask in return: tell us the crossing you're actually on, and tell us if you miss it.
What we need from you
- A pick-up point we can actually reach, and a phone number you'll answer on the day.
- Being at the meeting point at the agreed time — we may have another ferry to meet after yours.
- Advance warning about child seats, pets, oversized luggage, surfboards or diving gear. We carry child seats free, but only if we know to fit one.
- The number of passengers you actually booked. A van has eight seats and we can't improvise a ninth.
When things go wrong
We aim to be safe, comfortable and on time, and we take that seriously. But some things aren't ours to control: weather, closed roads, traffic in Hvar Town in August, cancelled ferries, cancelled flights. We're not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing here limits any liability that Croatian law says cannot be limited — including anything to do with death or personal injury.
Cancelling or changing
Plans move. Tell us as early as you can by phone, WhatsApp or email and we'll rearrange where we can. The earlier you tell us, the more likely we still have a van free for the new time.
Complaints
If we get it wrong, tell us. Under the Croatian Consumer Protection Act you can send a written complaint to the address above or to our email, and we will reply in writing within 15 days.
